Roxana Da Costa
Roxana is a natural leader who has earned the respect and support of hundreds of professionals in the industry, both locally and globally throughout the Aveda network and the network of salons and Spa’s in Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Her career began in 1994 while attending the Esthiology program at the Aveda Institute Victoria. Her commitment, passion and dedication for the industry became Da Costa’s most valuable strengths as an educator and mentor. Over the last 24 years since her graduation from the program, she has served several key roles including Vice President of Operations and Senior Educational Administrator, and as founding owner of Kazen hair & beauty salon in Victoria, BC. In 2016 Roxana embarked on an exciting path and became the co-owner and Operation’s Director of One House distribution Inc. for Easydry Canada; an environmentally intelligent next generation textile company.
Amongst her many accomplishments, she is most proud of receiving the Aveda Spa 2004 Healing Touch Award presented at Congress for her excellence in advancing Aveda sales and education. In 2009, Roxana was also inducted as an honoree into the Aveda Institutes Alumni Hall of fame.
She brings an extensive instructional, technical and business background through Aveda Corporation and has also completed her studies in Business Administration from the University of Victoria. She offers a well-rounded approach to teaching, coaching and mentoring and has a fine knowledge and extensive experience in all areas of customer service; these are the key ingredients to her success as a woman in business.

Alissa Fougere… Naturally at your service.
Growing up with a family of hairdressers, Alissa was always inspired by the beauty her family created. Alissa began her career in the beauty industry in 2007, when she decided to follow her passion. She completed her Cosmetology training through VIU, and then moved on to complete the 10 month training program at the prestigious and internationally acclaimed Aveda Institute Victoria. After graduating with a double diploma, Alissa was hired on to complete another 6 months of advanced training with Aveda.
From 2011- 2018, Alissa embarked on an exciting path and became the co-owner of Kazen Hair and Beauty. Now, after almost 12 years in the industry, Alissa is as inspired as ever to dedicate her craft and give 100% of her attention to her guests. Alissa’s talent and technical excellency has gained her a loyal following of raving fans.

Meet Laura Sleath… Passionately at your service.
Laura graduated from the internationally acclaimed Aveda Institute Victoria in 2012. Since then, Laura has completed a substantial level of advanced training under the mentorship of Paul Da Costa and nationally and internationally renown leaders in the industry. Laura has made a name for herself as a respected stylist, coach, teacher and salon manager. In 2016, she became an Aveda Certified Educator; giving her the opportunity and platform to share in her passion and knowledge with other professionals in the network. She has also served as a part-time educator at the Institute, mentoring students in branding, colour, and other core stylist services.
Laura is truly passionate about watching talented young people become absolute rock stars at their profession and is always ready and eager to step in and do whatever is needed from her to see them succeed and reach their goals.
Equally passionate about her guests, Laura finds becoming someone’s confidante and actively participating in making them feel great about themselves to be a massively rewarding gift.

Meet Samantha… Charismaticaly at your service
Samantha is a vibrant, vivacious and a passionately creative hair stylist. She loves building ordinary things and beautifully transform them. Her innate eye for creativity, paired with her love for making those around her feel beautiful and confident is what lead Samantha to becoming the ambitious and motivated stylist she is today.
Samantha’s journey in the beauty industry began at the Aveda Institute Montreal where she worked hard on building a clientele, honing her business building skills and discovering the capacity of her talents.
In 2017, only two and a half years into her new career, she took on an inspiring role as a Color Educator in the Young Talent program at Aveda Montreal Lifestyle Salon, in addition to her then current position as a dual hair specialist.
Samantha’s diversity as an image crafter expands from Bridal & Formal Up styling, to more Avant Garde looks inspired by her participation backstage at Montréal’s Fashion Preview.
Samantha’s specialties include highlighting, balayage, and other dimensional color work. Samantha’s dedication to her craft is evident by her comitment to continuing to update her skills. Her most recent eduation came from an Advancd Balayage class at the Nationally renown Sukis Academy in Vancouver, BC.
